Simple and delicious, this is one of our favorite meals and so easy to make. The secret to any simple recipe is top quality ingredients such as our pasture raised Red Wattle pork. This is a fun family style build your own meal.
1-3 pound pork shoulder roast
1/3-cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons kosher salt
Rub the pork all over with the salt & brown sugar. Place in a zip lock back and marinate overnight in the refrigerator. The next day, remove from the plastic bag and place on a baking sheet or roasting pan. Place in 250-degree oven for 5-6 hours until it easily shreds.
Serve on lettuce leaves with a spoonful of jasmine rice, quick pickles and chili sauce for the spice lovers.
