The ingredients are interesting and make for a delicious pie featuring our honey. This pie reminds us of the gooey part of pecan pie.
1 unbaked pie shell
4 oz butter, melted
¾ cup sugar
1-tablespoon cornmeal
½ teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
¾ cup honey
3 eggs
½ cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons white vinegar
Orange zest
1 ½ teaspoons Maldon salt
Preheat oven to 325
Stir together melted butter, sugar, cornmeal and vanilla
Add the cream, orange zest and vinegar
Bake for 45-50 minutes
Rotate the pie and bake an additional 30 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is set but still jiggly
Cool and sprinkle with sea salt
